Praise for the reviewers

Crothian

First Post
Sometimes its a bit of a thankless job. I'm not complaining, if I was I wouldn't be doing it. But after one posts areview we rarely hear anything about it. I assume people read my reviews, but I have no idea how many or if they help. I imagine that many reviewers feel the same way.

So, I want to thank the reviewers. I'm not going to name them, as I would forget some and I don't want to do that. But this thank you goes out to those who post them here at EN World and those that post them on other gaming sites. From the reviewers who have done hundred and hundreds to the people who have done a single one. You hard work and analysis is appriciated. :D

Here Here. Well said.

I tend to look at reviews of any product that I am considering buying. I tend not to comment on reviews because I have nothing positive to contribute when I read the review as I only have the review to go by.

I don't know the answer, but I agree that reviewers should be thanked.

"Thanks"

my review of this thread....

if they are doing it for the praise...then i don't intend to give them any.

if they are doing cuz they want to be nice to the rest of us... then the reward is already there.

if they are doing cuz they get free copies...then again no thanks are necessary.

all around reviewing is its own reward.

Perhaps, but it doesn't hurt to say that you are benefiting from their efforts too. I teach because I really enjoy it, and would continue to do so even if I got no feedback, but I still enjoy hearing from students who appreciate what I do.

That being said, I really do appreciate the reviewers' work here. My RPG purchases are few and far between, and reading the reviews here allows me to get stuff that I never regret. Thanks.

If you don't find reviews useful then that's fine. If you do use reviews, then it strikes me as kind of petty. It's like positive conditioning; if someone writes a useful review, tell them or thank them! Then they'll write more reviews that are hopefully equally useful. :)

I do too much dog training. Positive conditioning involves rewards such as petting and food. Negative conditioning involves shock collars.

Mmmm, shock collars.
