Pre-painted Miniatures for Modern Game?

I'm starting up a d20 Modern game and would like to use miniatures, but neither I nor my players have any time to paint minis, so I'm looking for pre-painted ones, or individuals that are willing to paint minis for me.

The hardest part of the searching I've done for pre-painted modern minis is finding minis that don't have huge guns or sci-fi outfits.

Don't know if these would be of any help to you, but they don't have big guns or SF outfits. They are probably a bit earlier in time period than you are looking for.

Why not try picking up some Marvel & DC Heroclix miniatures? Many of the common minis (non-superhero) could easily work for a modern game. Most gameshops have a bin full of commons, and they are usually really cheap.

I really think that you're going to have a hard time finding many prepainted modern miniatures anywhere but Heroclix. Nonetheless, some of those are just great! Happy hunting.

I have a bunch of Heroclix and they're all superheroes. I can't think of very many Heroclix figures that aren't superheroes.

And thanks, I knew about the eM4 minis, but they don't fit, unfortunately.

What about the thug, crooks, police, con artist, and some of the individual characters (Commissioner Gordon, Logan, Boon, Abbey Chase) that aren't superheros, or at least don't have flashy costumes? Many of them have "street clothes" figures, or at least close enough to get by.

What kind of game are you running, and what type of characters are the players going to be playing?

After I posted, I browsed the Heroclix galleries on the official site and found the figures you're referring to. Thank you.

The game is X-Files/Buffy/Cthulhu-esque. The players have made the following characters, a Detective (with a gun collection), a Rare Book Trader (throwing knives hobbyist), a Martial Artist, a Film Student, a Paranoid Novelist, and a Theologian

Plus I have a bunch of NPCs that the characters will be interacting with often: a Magician (Ritualist AdvC from Modern Magic), a High School teacher that has a habit of getting involved in the strange and horrific, and a couple vagrants that say they're vampires.

There will be some combat, but it won't be often. Most encounters will be skill-oriented, and RP-oriented.
And pretty much all magic will be incantations and maybe Psi.

Thanks again for your help.

also TSR put out a line of non-painted minis for Top Secret back in the 80's.

maybe you can find some people have painted on ebay or other auction sites.

No problem. Glad to be of assistance. I don't play Heroclix, but I have picked up a bunch of the minis for use in d20 games, as well as a few that were perfect for fantasy games as well.
