Pre-reqs for Shifter?

Oni

First Post
I'm on vacation away from my precious dnd books and I just had a sudden thought that instead of advancing my sorcerer as a sorcerer that he might be able to continue as a shifter. However for the life of me I cannot remember what the pre-reqs are. It probably wouldn't be any good for my sorcerer to advance as a shifter but now those pre-reqs are driving me nuts because I can't remember what they are.

Please save me from going insane and post the Shifters pre-reqs. To whatever good samaritan relieves me of this mental strain you have my thanks!

Feats - Alertness, Endurance
Spells- Able to cast 3rd level Spells.
Special - Must either Know Polymorph Self or have a natural alternate form, Alter self, Polymorph Self, Shapechange, or Wild Shape ability

Something about that Special seems odd, but it is from the book.

Note that the Sage has "clarified" this in the FAQ so that the last requirement is actually more like:

Special - Must either know Alter self, Polymorph Self, Shapechange or have a natural alternate form (Alter self, Polymorph Self, Shapechange, or Wild Shape ability).

Having fun with a character concept at the moment...

5 rogue / 5 Assassin / 10 Shifter

or

3 Rogue / 1 barbarian / 1 Ranger / 5 Assassin / 10 Shifter in a

Rogue - Rogue - Barbarian - Ranger - Rogue progression (halfling for prefered Rogue Status). As long as Ranger or Rogue level are last you can meet the Assassin Requirements. And it is one of the few ways to give the shifter the kind of Teeth and role play options that I might want. Also have to have a 16 int by the time you are 10th level, so you CAN cast 3rd level Spells (bonus 3rd, as it is a 0 slot spot for 5th level assassin). Quite likely that the extra shifting feat might be wanted at level 12, level 11 is going to be rather ae empty one =/

Currently is a 3rd Rogue with 11,10,11,15,7,13. Party had an Arcane caster, and thought it might be...... Interesting.
