Its barely a ripple and honestly 5e reeks of samey far more than 4e damage damage damage all day bloody boring fighters as a cherry on top.
Not more than 4e. Different than 4e, and it is a fair criticism of 5e.

Sounds like an argument a 3e fan would make is edition warring explicitly

"Your argument is just a 3e fan argument" so I am not going to address it at all ... is edition warring.

Compare the other statement to
"5e has 4e math (divide by 2 under the hood) and even has one of the same lead designers they must have been planning for 5e to tank"

I have made no edition warring comments. This smacks more of avoidance to me, but whatever dude. Hell, I didn't even bring up 3e, so I don't have a clue where you even got that from.

I made his exact statement and swapped out 4e for 3e and you lost track that he even said it.
