It's much more expensive to make a small sized Adamantine Full Plate (16,500) than a large sized Adamantine Chain Shirt (either 5,200 or 9,950, depending on whether you multiply the special material cost or not), even though the large chain shirt is obviously using much more adamantine.

Is it really all just about the amount of the material or is it also a reflection of the labor involved? The increased cost of a large suit reflects both material and extra labor. Similarly, the extra cost for special materials reflects both the material and the difference in labor in working the material.
Does it make sense that the extra craftsmanship going into a small suit of full plate made from adamantine makes the final product more expensive than a larger suit of the same material but made with less elaborate methods? Maybe it does.
