My suggestion is a DS spin-off without the original Tablelands, at least not in the begining. It would be in the "Athaspace", or a cluster of wildspaces around this. I would add a disclaimer section explaining racism and slavery are wrong, and players shouldn't be allowed to be slave-owners and other serious actions against the human dignity.

Isn't "you can homebrew it" a better solution?

I see no reason why Dark Sun needs to be an official WotC setting.

The players don't need new official products but to avoid the fall into the oblivion the D&D settings need at least to be unlocked in DMGuild.

And I still feel curiosity about how the metaplot would continue, despite something told me some clues.
