Problem Player

Problem Player

In my group we have a star. And I hate stars with a passion.

(. . .)

Unfortunately, I'm not the GM. But they are also very interested in a game I want to put together that hasn't garnered a lot of interest.

(. . .)

But I think that would be seen as slightly antagonistic, would it not?

(. . .)

Booting is not an option, they have the "Sleeping with the Current GM" Card.

Have everyone secretly write on a piece of paper who they think the problem player in the group is and be prepared to find a new group. It seems from your post that you are not satisfied with the game, that you want to run a game the others are not interested in playing, and that you are not getting along with someone who is definitely part of the core two of the group. Start a new group and run your own game and likely everyone will be happier for it. You're just fighting a losing battle where you are and not enjoying yourself, so why bother?

Don? That you? You know, you could email me...

Now, I wouldn't mind if it was once in a while... but we're playing Werewolf*ducks head in shame* so the Lone Wolf act doesn't work.

Werewolf? Oh. I don't play Werewolf. Boya, dodged a bullet there!

While the idea of attaching yourself to the star's spotlight is a worthy one, you really should consider whether threesomes ever work out long term. ;)

Asking to do long solo side stuff as "cut scenes" over email is a great idea and one I've used in two of my campaigns as a player. It's a good hack, especially if they like writing.
