Problem with subscriptions . . .

Every time I post, it automatically subscribes me to a thread, and fills my e-mail box with notifications.

Is there any way to set it so that doesn't happen, other than constantly going to my user CP to unsubscribe?

Try this: go to your user CP, go to Options, look for this option:

Use 'Email Notification' by default?
Using this option emails you whenever someone replies to a thread that you have participated in.

and make sure it is not checked.

It was checked; I turned it off from the admin screen. Once you unsubscribe from your current threads, you should be all set.
