Psionic Liches

Gellion

First Post
Ive seen the Psionic lich in ITCK, and was wondering why in the world do they interupt arcane magic? Arcane or Divine liches dont interrupt each other so why should psionic liches, i was thinking of making it so that arcane interupt divine and divine intterupt psionics. Does that sound like a balanced house rule?

When im saying interrupt i mean it gives them a chance for failure.

Its just one of the abilities the designers felt it should have. If you want to give your other liches equivalent abilities, power to you. Just be sure to compensate CR accordingly.

Just a thought. Liches are comprised of dead flesh. Psionics use the power of the mind I.E. the brain and do not affect undead nor can they be used by them. If I remember correctly, that is.

Psionics can and do effect undead - the psionics handbook says so in the Psionic template.
Hehe.:D Y'might want to mention this to Gfunk the next time you see him on the boards. That brings up some major inconsistencies in his story hour.

"Darkness beyond blackest pitch, deeper than the deepest night! Lord of Darkness, shining like gold upon the Sea of Chaos, I call upon thee, swear myself to thee! Let the fools who stand before us be destroyed by the power you and I possess! GIGA SLAVE!!"

Gellion's quote is from Slayers.

Slayers is a humorous anime series with a little drama, that pokes fun at the fantasy genre, while also featuring one act of awesome destuction every episode... usually usuing a Dragon Slave spell. As time goes on, the battles get get so large... that they threaten the fabric of all existance in some instances.

Another good anime title that that also pokes fun at the fantasy genre (but with a little more focus on the "four character party" games) is Rune Soldier Louie. "Tsubo-Chan!...."
