Psionic monsters?

What sources are out there, in print, PDF, web or other form, for psionic monsters? How do they stack up, in terms of quality [including game balance] and quantity?

I know of the Expanded Psionics Handbook (of course), Hyperconscious from Malhavoc Press, and Untapped Potential from Dreamscarred Press. Also, Monsters of the Mind from Green Ronin Games, though I have yet to pick this one up (along with Mindshadows).

Are there sufficient sources, do you think? Or, more to the point, sufficient monsters in total?

Hrm, I'm sure there are likely a few more sources out there.

There's Psionics Ascendant, although I personally have not yet looked at this book.

Dreamscarred Press also just released Mind Divine, which has over a dozen new creatures (only about half of which are tied to godminds, the rest should easily drop into any campaign).

That's all a quick search at YourGamesNow and RPGNow pulled up.

Personally, I'm not sure you could do an entire campaign of only psionic monsters - although if you did a humanoid-centric game, it could work. Have some evil sect of dromite, maenad, or xeph, or perhaps an invasion by the Gith, and the lack of "monsters" isn't a huge deal :)

Must all monsters be Psionic, or are you okay with those that are merely non-magical (like gricks, griffons and grimlocks)?

Cheers, -- N

Oh, I'm pretty OK with the whole lot. :)

Just wondering, mainly - basically, which ones people know of and like or dislike; also whether there's a perceived need for more.

On the other hand, in my next (planned) campaign, there will be an isolated region that's entirely non-magical, but with psionics aplenty. And hey, I do like my monster books, so I'm after a few more to offer me more choices, that I might or might not tinker with a bit. It saves me having to come up with lots more monsters myself. That just takes too much time, on top of everything else.

It uses a totally different psionics system; if you are looking for something compatible with D&D psionics, save your time.

Denizens of Avadnu had a number of cool psionic creatures. In the original print, it used the old psionics book, but they had errata on their site with XPH stats, and their upcoming PDF re-release is supposed to have the XPH-ready stats in them.

Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition 3.5 has an excellent Psionic template, much more flexible than the Phrenic template.

D'oh! Of course. That's teach me for not running d20 for a bit. :D

Ah. Thanks for the info.

Hm. . . intriguing.

Bacris: I've got the Mind Divine on my wish list. It sounds promising, for sure.

I know Slayer's Guide to Demons has a demon family that uses 3.0 psionic powers, I've used them and they were great incorporeal madness demons.

I know there were individual 3.5 psionic monsters in the EN critter series. I specifically remember a big psionic turtle thing in the River Vaal one.

I vaguely remember some psionics in the creature weekly series, but I can't remember any specifics.

Minds Eye on the WotC website has some psionic monsters
I think the Eberron books also have a few psionic critters
The Eberron books have the Quori, which are an awesome type of psionic outsider, but their scattered across various books which makes them a bit harder to use.
