I'm starting a new game that will feature/focus on psionic characters. However, I'm hesitant about the DC for psionics being the d20+lvl+stat rather than the spells 10+lvl+stat.

Which do you use, and how has it worked out for you?

Having varying DCs was neat, and gave you a shot against much more powerful opponents.

But in practice, I find it's not worth tracking the extra rolls. Fewer rolls, less in-game math = smoother pace and less accounting = good.

I use the XPH method. It's worked out pretty good. There is a little more record keeping, but overall it hasn't slowed my games all that much at all.

The RAW as of XPH is 10+mods.

Well, as I say, I haven't had the chance to use 'em. The poll describes d20+mods as "EPH rules," so I assumed that was RAW. If d20+mods is a variant, then I wouldn't bother with it.

D20+mods was the Psionics Handbook (3.0) method. 10+mods is the Expanded Psionics Handbook (3.5) method.

Thus the poll is flawed, no vote for me. I use the XPH.
