I'm not a fan of mixing psionics and normal D&D Vancian magic. One or the other, not both.

Need an option for "Like them in the right context in DnD'.

I like them in Dark Sun.

I can stand them in Planescape.

I don't like them in standard DnD.

I voted that I like them (because I do)

but I also agree that sometimes they will not fit the atmopshere of D&D.
Although at worst treating them as another form of magic works because it can give you "another form of magic"

It suits the atmosphere of my current campaign IMO, although I don't know if my players would agree. But they are going through...a certain module (involves a bell and a dragon hint hint ...right now and it gives me a hook for them if I want it. Of course I would waite until the new handbook for them comes out and that is a while off so no hurry there.

I like what Plane Sailing has done with them in his Story Hour.
Definately worth checking out, it's a good read IMHO.
