Psychic Warrior and bonus PP

I am thinking of allowing the psychic warrior extra PP. I was thinking one extra per level. So 1 more first, 2 more at second, etc. So at 20th the total will be 20 more than normal.

My thinking is that it will not be such a huge increase at higher levels, but will allow for more 'fun' at lower levels. It seems like quite a drag to have so very very few PP at the first few levels. It reminds me of 2e mages, one magic missle and then pull out the dagger/crossbow. I realize that the PW is a much more formidable foe, but their powers at low level aren't that powerful, but are fun to play. And it may make some powers more feasible if the PP aren't as rare as a friendly crocodile. (I would love to play one with the power that allows you to grab weapons out of thin air, but at low-mid levels, it just isn't feasible)

What effects do you think this may have?

do you have expanded psionics handbook?
if so you can just take psionic talent feat a couple times and presto more pp or just play a guy with a higher wis score

Same question here... IMHO the 3.5 Psywar has more than enough PPs. Psionics lion charge for 3 PP (one charge and a full attack action afterwards)? Who needs so much more?

And many powers have a real long duration (Claws).

I'm currently running an Eberron campaign with a psychic warrior in the group, and his power pool is plenty sufficent with a 30 pt. point build. Or was it 28? I forget. Regardless it's a low point build and he's been more than up to all the challenges. He's never complained of a lack of PP and certainly hasn't held back on powers. He generally using the self only englarge person power and Vigor, he's just leveled to 5th and we'll see how things go with the new powers he's picked up.

I've been playing a psi warrior and the balance seems just about perfect. Instead of this house rule, give the PC one of those crystals (a crystal capacitor?) that provides a certain number of bonus points per day. My PC has one that gives him 5 extra points to draw on (with certain limitations), but I seldom get that low.

In my experience as DM, the PsiWar is the most balanced of the classes out of the old PsiHB, and it's still great in the XPH. Really no need for change.

If you want a PC to have extra PPs to play with at low level, give him a special Psi Tattoo that holds 19 points and can NEVER be recharged. It's there if he needs it, and when it's gone, he'll have a better handle on the whole "conserve PP" concept.

I don't have a problem with the PW's 'balance'. It just can't do much with the 'P' part for the first few levels, and is just a lesser 'W'. While that is fine balancewise, it just doesn't seem as fun.

I am the DM, but when I think of certain builds that would be fun, many just aren't feasible, since you also need str, dex, con; having a really high Wis may not happen. So it is quite likely that you only have 0-1 PP at first. And it doesn't get much better until 5-7 lvl (it seems)

I guess my real question doesn't come from it *needed* more to be balanced, but if it will be 'unbalanced' if given an extra PP/lvl. It seems to allow for more options when building a concept.
