I could be misreading your post, but SS introduced a new mechanic called fatigue to help balance out that most things in the Scarred Lands doesn't have resitance to Psi.

I should probably settle down until I see the rules.

You didn't mis-read my post. That is what i was talking about.
The problem with handycapping psionics further is that it produces further distortions in game play.
If the problem is defined as: 'certain kinds of powerful foes are really vulnerable to a character's powers'.
Then a solution involving skill checks which characters are likely to make at higher levels & fail at lower levels doesn't really seem to address the problem.

Still my "distortions" are other people's cool rules mechanics....

thanks

True Grraf. But consider this. Perhaps after a while, and successful checks, the lands starts to "Warp" in strange ways. Like magic doesn't function some times, or natural healing is accerated and/or slowed until no one can heal natural. Just some ideas to consider my friend.

Umm.. one thing that seems to be constantly forgotten about the "Magic and Psi are different" rule is that magic screws psions just as bad as psi messes with wizards. Granted a fighter is more likely to have an item that gives him SR rather than PR (in fact i would be very interested in where said fighter found such a PR granting item) also since psionics is so rare, so are psionic items like power stones and dorjes(sp?). So if a psion wants items he has to make them himself, he wants to find a power stone containing a power he dosent know? well your best bet would be a salarecian ruin, and we all know how accesable those are:rolleyes: .

Valid point Omega. Something I didn't consider before and I'm glad you brought it up. Anyway even with this power that Psionics now has, I don't forsee a GREAT shift in Psionics favor but perhaps a little towards "Well being Psion DOES have a few advantages..." ;)
