Ptolus: The World of Praemal - Who has it?

I have enjoyed it so far. I did notice art reuse, but a lot of the art is stuff I like. Besides, there is enough new art that I don't have any issues with the reuse.

It is a pretty book so far and the dead tree version should look wonderful.

I fell in love with the art piece showing the Lords of the Seven Chains, personally. Mind-bogglingly awesome.

Finished reading it in bed yesterday evening. I love the whole history chapter. I notice that one could piece together a huge background/chunk of Praemal using the Empire of Tarsis and the Diamond Throne together, with the Charad as link. I'll probably do that, even if I doubt it'll come directly into play in my next campaign. I'll try my hand on an extended map of the whole area including the Diamond Throne some time.

The whole part on Religions is excellent, including the Church of Lothian and New Gods (I want to see a Cleric of Ollom, God of the Keg in play!). I plan on adding D&D icons such as St. Cuthbert and "St. Helm" to the list of lothianite Saints.

I'm puzzled by some things I want to know more about, including the shadow of Ptolus, the elven city stolen from the Shoal elves, Goth Gulgamel, the Sphere of Entropy and much more that will be revealed in the next PDFs and the big book.

I really like it so far, although I will second that it might not be suitable for players to read. Of course, that was Monte's intention, which is why the Player's Guide came out with limited details.

The problem, IMO, was not so much that it wasn't suitable for players to read, but that sections that the players could read weren't written so they could. I might want to copy a section of the magical substances for a mage with a knowledge (arcana) 50, but would have to remove part of the section that's adventure specific.

I haven't really been paying attention; I looked at Ptolus: The World of Praemal on DTRPG and it wasn't free, it was $6. Did I miss something?

You get a free coupon in your email box if you pre-ordered Ptolus in full before May 31. Right now, before June 30, it is still time to pre-order in full and get PT3: Organizations of Ptolus for free in the same way.

Reason: Ben posts too fast!
I feel foolishly proud suddenly! :p

Seriously, someone said over at montecook.com that Ptolus is "the gift that keeps on giving". I can certainly see the point right now!
