Ptolus, where's the grab?

Ptolus wins for me in the "actually has a fold-out map" department.

Rassin' frassin.... publishing a city book without a map... what were they thinking?

Sharn's map is good enough for me. You don't need every building location mapped out.

I don't need evey building mapped out, but the Sharn book didn't have ANY map. None. A few side-views here and there, but not enough really.

So yeah, it's nothing new (and a lot of it reminds me of Warhammer too) but what is there is really nicely done.
If it were a Mordhiem-like city I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Build it back up, clean out the mosters, Angst in a hopeless home, sword point conversions, kick the door combat, tear it all down to start over, loot the remains and many other campaign styles can be done in the City of the damned as an RPG setting.

Notably if it had high to mid level NPCs statted out as if they lived in a warzone. If I am investing 100 bones in a city book, I want every NPC to at least competent enough to have a chance of earning thier CR.

Let's just say our tastes and needs here obviously differ.

I consider the city map to be a central tool in conveying and defining the feel of the city as well as being an instrumental storytelling/GMing tool.
