I've been with the ENBoards for 4 years, and one of the largest posters to this board.
I ran the third IR for over 2 months, only to find my players had cheated, had ruined the IR, and had flushed 2 months of my life down the toilet.
I attempted to deal with this, but the Moderators shut me up.
I appealed to Piratecat, who responded as follows:
Terry, I like you, I always have, and I'm always honest with you. You
may not agree with me, but I'll offer you my opinion nevertheless. You
need to stop taking this so damn personally. You're seeing everything
through a big, focused lens of hurt indignation, and interpreting that
you're being persecuted and shunned and rejected.
And that's crap. I think you're over-reacting, I think they're
over-reacting to your over-reaction, and I think that's hurting your
feelings even more. If there's anything you *aren't*, buddy, it's
"unappreciated" regarding the IR. That's you feeling sorry for yourself,
and it's rubbish.
Do you want my rationale? Will you listen to my point of view? It might
be more useful than the alternative.

Therefore, I conclude that:
On the ENBoards, it is ok for me to be abused.
On the ENBoards, it is ok for players to cheat.
On the ENBoards, it is ok for players to wreck a 2 month endeavor on my part.
If I become angry about it, and complain, I must be full of crap.
I've had this kind of treatment before.
I had it in the RPGA. I left.
I had it at the TSR site. I left.
And now I had it from the ENBoards. And I'm leaving.
I won't stay where it is ok for people to hurt me.
I don't come here to be hurt.
No sane person does that.
I am only one person - my loss will not make a difference on a board of thousands of people.
But I, at least, cannot be victimized anymore.

P:S You can be sure I'm leaving the ENBoards. I wouldn't have written this letter, which burns all bridges, if I wasn't ready to leave forever.
If that's how you wish it, so be it.
If someone wishes to be reasonable towards me, a person who put 2 months of hard work into a project to entertain people, then I will listen.
