Publisher SRD?

Just a question I decided to ask, because I think its a good idea. Do you think that each publisher should maintain their own SRD like WOTC does? I don't know if its legal, so that is why I am asking here ;) I think it would make accessing a company's OGC a lot easier for other publishers.

If I wanted to print books, but include the OGC in an area on my site for others to use, would it cause me any problems when it comes to profit?

As it stand, it should be a personal choice for the publishers/authors to make it publicly available. Nothing in any of the licenses and the trademark usage guide that mandate publisher to provide their own SRD...

But if we're talking about the Action! System (a completely different ruleset now being released under the OGL), their trademark license mandate that an SRD from a published product should be made available within 60 days of the product's release.

If you're asking my opinion on this matter in general, I DO NOT think they should mandate. Only a large and/or major publisher like Wizards can do so because they usually put out books that are of good quality and sellable. Small print presses (e.g., startup d20 companies) may not have the luxury of producing such hardcover books with great artworks similar to Wizards'.
