[Pulp Heroes] Thrilling d20 Adventures Update

Currently I'm on Heinlein

I liked Citizens of the Galaxy the most...

I liked the Sky Pirates of Calisteo one of my favorite game ideas/ Another of the greats would have to be the very early would be the Buck Rogers esque When worlds Collide, and the Chessmasters of Mars, and the childrens storries Journey to Lilliput

tim,
just wanted to chime in and offer my thanks for your cool site......and keep up the good work...... would like to see the erb venus stuff you mentioned ......

Thanks, Thomas. I would like to do some ERB conversions (not just his Venus stuff) but for the moment I'm going to stick with original gaming material. I have several ideas that I want to pursue before I start doing conversions. What are these ideas? Can you say 'Femme Fatale' NPC Class, or 'Big Game Hunter' Prestige Class, or... nevermind (that would be telling ;-p). :)

i had the pleasure of illustrating a new edition of the 'pirates of venus' for bison books, anyway just keep up the good work on the site and game and hope you can talk the creator into more goodies for it too.
thanks

I have one caveat... I haven't even talked to Noonan so let's not get too ahead of ourselves talking about 'official' Pulp Heroes stuff on the site. While I'm honoured by such an idea, it's too early to assume such a thing is possible. Besides, I would rather see more official PULP HEROES stuff in another issue of Polyhedron (hint hint). :)

Cheers,
Tim

Re: Extra, extra, read all about it!

I have given the Thrilling d20 Adventures site a slight redesign (nothing too drastic), added two new feats (the Escapology & Inheritance feats) and a new section called 'Dinosauria with one conversion write-up - an Ankylosaurus (so far :D ).

Cheers,
Tim

BOOKMARKED!

I luv your site! I have been toying with a d20 Pulp game for awhile now since the Polyhedron article. I'm glad someone's had the time and talent to put a site together :)

BTW: check out the Egyptian Adventures thread on the General Discussion board, lots of material to build a Pulp Pyramid Adventure :D

Cheers,
-W.

Glad you like it. I have lots of stuff that I want to put on the site, but it is a question of finding the time to do it. ;)

I've been reading the thread. Speaking of Egyptian Adventures... a good book to find (if you can, it's out of print now) is Mythic Egypt by Iron Crown Enterprises (1990). It isn't d20, but it has lots of useful info.

Other RPG Pulp-related books (again, not d20 but useful and/or interesting) that I would recommend are:

Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu and supplements -- tons of info & inspiration for the 1920s/1930s.

GURPS Cliffhangers -- tons of pulp info.

These books are all out of print but are worth checking out if you can find them... :)

Agent 13 Sourcebook (TSR's Top Secret/S.I.)

Gangbusters by TSR

Space 1889 for inspiration, namely Conklin's Atlas of the Worlds (GDW).

Before I forget: any thoughts or impressions about the Forbidden Kingdoms d20 pulp rulebook that came out over the summer?

Actually I haven't had a chance to check out the book yet, but their website looks cool. :D

Cheers,
Tim

I think GURPS Egypt is in print. GURPS China is good too for 1930's adventures. Lots of Tongs and warlords running around. Maybe even Fu Manchu!

dungeon/polyhedron 90

Anybody know where I can find some dungeon backissues? I'm running a d20 pulp heroes type campaign, now...and I had totally forgotten abou that Dungeon issue...anyway, I'm wondering where I can find it, so I can get some of the basic stuff... If you know where I can order one (South Dakota is a little short on gaming shops) hook me up! THANKS!
