Pumping UMD?

You'll want Magical Aptitude, for another +2 to the check. Something that allows a lucky reroll can turn a 50% chance of making a check into a 75% chance, but ideally, you would to get your check high enough you can't fail.

Take a Cha increase at level 16, bringing the old C to the H to the A up to 12.

Skill ranks 21
Cha bonus +3
Skill focus +3
Magical Aptitude +2
Heroism spell +2 morale
circlet of persuasion +3 competence
Synergies +2 and +2

That's +38. You win.

Rule number one of the curbstomp: do not, for one second, let the GM know what you're up to until he sees it unfold in front of his very eyes.

Oh, no, he has no idea what I'm up to... And he won't until I whip it out on him, but he's more like Piratecat in that aspect - he enjoys seeing what we pull out of our hats.

Based on cost issues, I'm thinking about heading the "Imbue with Spell Ability" route, along with the circlet. This keeps the costs reasonable, kicks me into the stratosphere for that one spell, and considering we have a Cleric who doesn't use his spells for anything else anyways (Hammer of Moradin who focuses on wading into combat) that shouldn't be a huge issue.

Kudos to him.

Don't forget Heroism ;)

It's pretty cheap to get a wand or potions.

Do you have access to a 3rd level Bard, for Inspire Competence? That's if you can't get the Circlet of Persuasion, of course.

Cheers, -- N

Scepter of Obedience from MiniHB is like circlet of persuasion, but +5. Belt of Magnificence, also from the MiniHB, gives enhancements bonuses to all 6 attributes.

PS (& OT): The game tends to be more fun when you work with the DM instead of viewing it as a competition.

Rod of Mimicry (Arms & Equipment Guide) +10 UMD (and more)
Admiral's Tricorn (Stormwrack I think): more expensive but it's a double strength circlet of persuasion I hear.
What about Nymph's Kiss (BoED feat, don't recall effect)
