Purple Dragon Conversion!

Krishnath

First Post
Well, here it is, the purple dragon, one of the 'forgotten' chromatic dragons. This is only my third conversion (so far) so comments and constructive critizism is welcomed.

Some minor notes, I had to replace Fire Charm and Affect Normal fires as they are non existant in 3E. I chose to replace them with pyrotechnics and call lightning as they are more in line with the dragons melee prowess. I chose to give it light as a subtype as neither fire or electricity fit it, and light is their closest common denominator (as both energy types produce it. I restricted its breathweapon to a line.

Well, tell me what you think.

Ooh, shiny :D
Very nice, Krishnath, but I think that the CR from Very Old on might be a bit low. Where was the purple dragon from? An old Dragon magazine issue?

Demiurge out.

8 Downloads so far...

It's from a very old dragon issue, 63 I think, that was 1E stats. In 2nd it was again repeated in dragon, but I don't remember the exact issue. But I bet that Boz knows... :D
As for the CR, well, though luck, as I am not changing it :D

15 downloads and counting.

Well, thank you for your kind words. I'm quite pleased with it myself. The next dragon I'm planning on converting is the Orange. Unless of course someone has a better suggestion. (Although I think I will convert a couple of more task genies first.)

Here's a weird idea..How about a clear dragon? It could be a draconic construct, or some kind of avenging avatar sent to punish those that have offended draconic gods.

It's hide would be clear, making visible it's dark heart and other internals.
