Q about the MM IV

For those who possess the Monster Manual IV, are there some monsters that were published in 1st and/or 2e edition books ? or does the book is filled with all-new materials ?

Just asking out of curiosity, I've started playing D&D with the 3e edition, so I never deeply knew the previous editions.

I do not possess the MMIV, but having seen the Table of Contents and various previews and threads, the answer appears to be "none".

That is, unless you count classed drow, githyanki, gnolls, and lizardfolk, which have been around since the dawn of time.

You are correct, Shade. No converted monsters are in the MMIV. There are, however, monsters with ties to deeper D&D history, like the Avatars of Elemental Evil.
