Have you ever wanted to be able to scan a miniature and have the info on it load into your smart phone or tablet? I have and I have done it.
What I did is simpley this. I took a pdf of my character sheet and put it into my public folder on dropbox. Then I used an app to create a qr code of the url.
then I shrunk the code down to one inch and attached it to magnetic material.
Now I always put magnetic material on the bottom of my figures. This then makes it easy for me to switch the qr code to different figures. with a qr reader on your smart phone or tablet. It will read the code and load the character sheet. THIS WORKED ON IOS AND ANDROID.
Imagine an app that scans qr codes and puts the character into an initative tracker. It could be used for NPCs, Monster stats, or any info you wanted on the figure.
