D&D 5E Question about Agonizing Blast

I just wanna make sure I'm reading this right. According to the invocation, you add your Cha modifier to the damage your eldritch blast does on a hit. So when you go up in levels and you gain more beams of eldritch blast, do you add your Cha modifier on each hit? It seems to be the way it's written.

yes. That is how it works. Every time you hit with Eldritch Blast, and you hit or miss for each attack, you get to add your CHA modifier to the damage. The same can be said for the pushing invocation for example. It's basically an invocation to make EB be on par damage wise with classes who get the Extra Attack feature.

Interesting. That's what I thought. But it would seem the part of regarding the repelling blast is a point of heavy contention, based on a short glance at the amount of conversation that thread has received.
