Question about Order of the Bow

Ok, is this class made for the purpose of adding more damage to the sneak attack bonuses of a rogue archer? I considered adding a class or two to my arcane/ranger but manyshot and rapid shot seemed better when compared to the order of the bow initiate's bonuses. So, my question being, is this class better applied to rogues or standard archers?

OotB Usualy works better for a Non Sneak attacker - Since you can Precise Shot any time - not jsut when they are denied thier Dex. As well as- Its usualy far more difficult to Sneak Attack at range then it is in Melee.

OotB + Shot on the Run is a Great combo too.

Not that great.

Ranged Precision uses a standard action, but not the attack action. Shot on the Run requires you to be taking the attack action with a ranged weapon.

It's the same reason you can't use Shot on the Run with Manyshot, or Ranged Precision with Manyshot.

Let me make this short and sweet.

Ranged Precision is complete and utter crap. The ONLY reason to take OotBI is for close combat shot, then get out of the class as fast as possible. However, as long as Complete Warrior is allowed and you don't want/need to fire from horseback... take EWP(greatbow), WF(greatbow) and 1 Exotic Weapon Master level for the same ability, then move on to archer PrCs that give real benefits.
 

What I'd suggest to make the new OotBI more attractive:

- Increase skill pts to 4/level, and bump up the no. of class skills to match
- Allow ranged precision to work out to the first range increment, and out to the 2nd increment at 10th level
- Improved Precise Shot feat instead of Sharp-Shooting at 6th level
- Consider taking this feat as well
 


with my character, i focused more on taking the combination of manyshot and rapid shot and trying to add as much damage to this. With improved critical, power crit., greatbow, and alchemist arrows and max damage is tremendous. With a chance to crit 3 times per round outways the loss of move actions. (Not that it matters with archers since theyre supposed to be in the back anyways.)

I believe alas, that Power Crit is one of those many feats that don't apply to ranged weapons.
