Question about Turning and Commanding

I just have one question.

I have a player that is playing a nuetral cleric, and she wants to animate dead. I don't have a problem with her animating dead, but would that have anything to do with the rebuke/command aspect of clerics?

Edit: Oh, she also wants to still be able to cast curative spells. I would allow this since animate dead is just a spell, and not her rebuke/command ability.

I thought (double check me on this, though), that a neutral cleric had to decide to be a channeller of positive or negative energy--one or the other. If that is correct, then this cleric is a channeller of positive energy (because she casts healing spells) and would be unable to command and rebuke undead). However, I'm not sure whether that means she can't cast the Create Undead spell. She might be able to animate undead, but not command them.

Not a problem. As a neutral cleric she gets to choose whether to channel positive or negative energy, or in other words, spontaneously cast cure or inflict spells, and cannot change this.

Luckily for the character, this ability has nothing to do with controlling undead created by the animate dead spell, and any such created undead (within the spell's restrictions) will obey her. She will not be able, however, to control undead created by a create undead or create greater undead spell, since those require being able to channel negative energy and rebuke/command undead.
