Question concerning Artificer abilities

Hi, First time poster here.

I have a question concerning Artificers abilities and certain capabilities.
Can an artificer use his repertoire of infusions to produce a set of skill enhancing items which all stack together providing differnt bonuses?

example: Boots of Stealth: +10 Move Silent Competence
Cloak of Stealth: +10 Move Silent Circumstance
Hat of Stealth: +10 Move Silent Insight

or potentially combine all these seperate bonus types into one item?

I forget the infusion, but it allows the artificer to change bonus types provided by magic items.
Would this allow two identical bonus types to be stacked simply by changing one into a different type of provided bonus?

example: Boots of Stealth: +10 Move Silent circumstance (for sake of argument)
Cloak of Stealth: +10 Move SIlent circumstance (also FSOA)

Could these now be used together by changing the cloak bonus to inherent or insight?

Please help!!! I have a campaign starting soon and need to resolve this ahead of time.

Thanks.

Welcome to the boards!

Based on my reading of the class, the answer to the second part is yes.

Example:

Gauntlets of Ogre Power - +2 enhancment to Strength
Belt of Giant Strength +4 - +4 enhancement to Strength

Using the Item Alteration infusion, you could change the Gauntlets to a morale bonus and then the two items would stack.

Whether an artificer could create new items that permanently have a different bonus type, I don't know. I probably wouldn't allow it in my campaign.

by my reading, Artificers don't really use their infiusions in the making of magical items. They follow the same method that wizards do--using UMD to replicate any needed spells--and using the same feats. Infusions cannot be used to make items and they aren't permanent.
