Question for Davin &/or CMP

Chaz

First Post
Something I asked about in the old ET days before one or another of the boards went down is something I thought could be usefull. And I just wonder if it can be done with ETHelper or if it would need to be coded by CMP.. or if its even possible.

I use a Katana a lot for my chars. Also a custom race weapon. Both of which are available ONLY as Masterwork or better quality.

I have added them in my ET and set price so that buying it as masterowrk comes out fine. But just seems wrong to see it listed under normal gear at lesser costs when they are intended to only be available in MW or better.

On the house rules customization screen for weapons im wondering if its possible to have a check box for "Masterwork Only" along side (or between ;) ) the "can be Masterwork" & "Magic" check boxes. Indicating that the weapon(or whatever) is only available in masterwork OR BETTER quality.

Davin has that neat thing for materials in ETH that asks if it a "masterwork only" material. And thats good. But i think a weapon(or whatever) that can only be made(in usable form) as a masterwork item is a usefull setting to have. Anyway im trying this question out again. Been a while since ive had ET loaded so im only now finding I need this feature again.

Anyway just thought id ask. Thanks.

Hrmm... I'll talk to the code monkeys about it... it _may_ be doable in e-Tools itself... depends on how it can be arranged...

Perhaps an option in the drop the drop down to 'show' all MW items and their costs... in the background it would convert the base items to MW and their costs...

Let me check on it, not sure if ETH can do it, that's definately a Davin Question, but I'd hazard a guess that it would be no...

Thanks Mynex, I cant ask for more than that. Im greatful you are considering it. It would sure be handy. Thanks again.

Yeah, the closest thing I can probably do is have you define a special masterwork-only material to make such things out of. Come to think of it, you might even call it "Masterwork" material, and it might display in a semi-reasonable way.

Other than that, a CMP fix is probably the way you'll need to go.

Thanks Davin. :)
The more I thought about it the more it seemed like a code issue. But hey i figured it was worth a shot. You certainly have worked ET miracles so far.
