Question for Morrus about ENWorld Icons

Edena_of_Neith

First Post
Morrus, I just looked back through certain archives, and a realization hit me.
I see the icons you use to denote threads and busy threads on ENWorld, and I think I know where they come from. They come from The Martian Chronicles, don't they?

I have ... poignant memories of that set of scenes from the television series, and so the icons ... it suddenly clicked, they look exactly alike.

Am I right?

(My memories are dark ones. Obviously so, since these scenes from the series are not pleasant. Not exactly Feel Good stuff. And suddenly, after all this time, looking at the icons, there it is. I cannot understand *how* I could not have seen this before, and I say that with the most sincere honesty.)

I did a comparison (grimaces, not pleasant to watch that episode of the Martian Chronicles ...)

I see the ENWorld logos are not the same. They are similar, but not the same.

I was just reminded, is all. Powerful images from a powerful TV series (Ray Bradbury is powerful, and what is created out of his works tends to be powerful, if it is even remotely faithful to what he wrote) and so it just struck me, the similarity.

(muses)

Still, even just being similar, they are powerful images as they remind one of the Martian Chronicles. (We were so very, very stupid, we the Human Race, in the works of Ray Bradbury, and we messed up so badly ... after you read Ray Bradbury's works, it is not the kind of thing you ever forget.)
