Question on EXP

Okay here is the deal I have been running a Champaign for a very long time and now my character ar about to reach their levels in top the forties and then they will reach the fifties. Now I have one question. I have not had access to a DMG so what is the total EXP count for a lv50 character?

The formula for the total experience at the level break at level N is: N*(N+1)/2

So the minimum EXP for level 50 would be: 49*50/2 = 1,225,000
They would then need 50,000 EXP to make it to 51st at 1,275,000.

I find it hard to believe that your group wouldn't have more fun starting over or shifting focus to underlings/lieutenants/next generation characters - but it's not my call.

Thank you, the formula will be most useful (we are used to 2nd edition).

And yes, my pcs have many different characters a peace. Most are in-between 5th and 10th level. But there are time when the like to play with higher characters, too.
