Question on the KoS Characters

Probably the first of many...

1) How did the Dragonborn Paladin get 27 hit points? He's level 1 with a 12 CON. That should give him 15+1 = 16.

2) How did the Dragonborn Paladin get +7 attack with his sword for almost every attack?

3) How did he get his FORT and WILL saves? Shouldn't they each be 1 higher?

Thanks!

You have the wrong formula. It's 15 + Con Score. That's 15+12 = 27.

SCORE, not mod. 15+12=27

This needs to be FAQed so badly.

I don't have the sheets in front of me, but proficient creatures get a +2 on attack when using a long sword. does that help?

*edit* i guess long sword is +3?

You add CON SCORE to HP at first level, not Con mod.

2&3: IIRC, we don't know exactly. There has been some speculation that this dragonborn has chosen some sort of build option that adds to his attacks, but not to his saves.

18 STR and a 2 proficiency bonus only get the dragonborn up to +6 attack.

1) A first level Paladin gets 15 hp + their Con Score, not their Con mod.

2) He is trained with Longswords, with give a +3 to attack rolls made with them. +3 (longsword) +4 (Strength) and there you go.

3) It would appear that you are right. His paladin bonuses do not seem included.

1) stated above

2) +4 STR, +2 Proficiency, +1 Versatile (assuming he is using it two handed)

3) Fort: 10 + 4 STR, Ref: 10 + 2 Paladin, Will: 10 + 3 CHA

EDIT: EIther a Palidin gets +2 to Ref, KotS is wrong, or the PrRC is wrong.

Versatile adds to damage when used two-handed, not attack.

I doubt that the paladin class gives +0 Fort, +2 Ref, +0 Will. Doesn't sound very paladin-like to me.

Youre right, my bad. Anyways after double checking the PrRC a Longsword has a +3 proficiency, so that makes it +4 STR, +3 Prof.

As for the save, it deffinatly doesnt sound very palain like. However even if you say that the sheet is missing the +1 for Fort and Will, how does it get to 12 for Ref? I just figured Occam's Razor.

EDIT: And I guess I was wrong on that too, thanks for clearing that up Victim
