I'd say a natural 20 is a little better than a "decent roll."

I just meant with a bit of luck on either damage or acrobatics. On average you'd figure to negate 20 points, so that would be 40' roughly and probably survive falling another 40' beyond that: 8d10 avg 48 points - 20 = 28 points. Depending on class and con you might or might not be unconscious. In any case, acrobatics is well worth it!
