Questions to Roy and Star: 283 onward

I'm really confused on the numbering now, but here is my question (s):

Is Eschew Materials still a metamagic feat? Does it still require a prerequisite of any one metamagic feat?

true strike question

My question on the old thread didn't get reposted here, so I'm reposting it:

"Thanks for all the answers, Shadowstar.

Can you please check if the sor/wiz spell True Strike has changed, and if so how it now works? Does it still give +20 on the next attack within one round?"

Animal Companion advancement.

Facts: A 2nd level druid has a wolf companion. That druid advances to 3rd level. This allows his wolf to advance to 4 HD. In 3.0 rules, a 4 HD wolf advances to large size with appropriate bonuses and penalties.

Question: Does the PHB animal companion table have a preface that covers whether size adjustments (or other factors) come into play when an animal companion advances in HD? Does it refer to rules elsewhere in the PHB, DMG or MM?

They are 6/4/2. However, Upon gaining a second favored enemy, you can choose to have any one of them to have the +4 bonus (in 3.0, the FE you chose first would become the one with your highest bonus. Now any of your FE's could be the one with the best bonus - even the last one you took).

As far as I know it works like this:
  • 1st fav. enemy:
    +2 against choosen enemy
  • 2nd fav. enemy:
    +2 against new choosen enemy
+2 against one of the (now) two choosen enemies (so: +4/+2)
  • 3rd fav. enemy:
    +2 against new choosen enemy
+2 against one of the (now) three choosen enemies (so: +6/+2/+2 or +4/+4/+2)

105 Are there any changes to the functioning of the metamagic feats? (What are their level mods, can they be stacked)

106 Specifically for Empower and Maximize, do they still apply to all variable effects?

107 What are the bonuses for Tensor's Transformation and what is it's duration?

Andy Collins stated on his messageboards :
Animal companions don't get bigger in the new rules (so that your animal companion doesn't lose any of the utility that you picked it for, such as being able to fit into a dungeon), so if it's important that your wolf be large, you might want to pick up a dire wolf at level 7.

Has the Tumble skill changed at all? Higher DCs perhaps to avoid AoOs?

Could you list the "oppostion (forbidden) schools" for each school of magic?

I know it's a long list and probably too much work... but could you post the cleric domain grant powers and domain spells. Just additions or revisions? If it's been posted already (I only have seen cleric spell list)... just ignore me. :-)

Thanks for your hard work! :-)

Has the Druid Spell Produce Flame changed other than level?

Copied from SRD:

Produce Flame
Evocation [Fire]
Level: Drd 2, Fire 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 0 ft.
Effect: Flame in the character's palm
Duration: 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes
Flames appear in the character's hand. The character can hurl them or use them to touch enemies. The bright flames, which illuminate out to 20 feet as torches do, appear in the character's open hand and harm neither the character nor the character's equipment.
The character can strike opponents with a melee touch attack, dealing fire damage equal to 1d4 +1 point per two caster levels (maximum +10). Alternatively, the character can hurl the flames up to 120 feet as a thrown weapon. When doing so, the character attacks with a ranged touch attack (with no range penalty) and deal the same damage as with the melee attack. No sooner does the character hurl the flames than a new set appears in the character's hand.
