R1: Hired Hands (nimisgod judging)

"Hmm, I thought I already mentioned that."

"Perhaps"

"So, if you would be so kind as to put the gold on the desk and give me the name of the individual you want on the receipt, we can wrap this up all tidy like."

Valan sets out 24 gold of his own along with Tors 23, finally motioning to Kerrz for his 23 "If you could that would be Valan, Tor and Kerrz" pause "Of course if joint ownership is impossible then I assume my name would suffice" Valan checks his comrades face for signs of dissension

"Well, an individual buyer does make things easier," Doc says as he gathers the coins and deposits them into a desk drawer, "but a group purchase is not unheard of, nor too terribly difficult to document."

After a couple of minutes of scribing, Doc pushes two copies of the completed receipt and the inkwell and pen across the desk to Valen, "If you gentlemen would just be so kind as to sign the documents at the bottom, our business will be complete."

With that, the halfling climbs down from his highchair and walks over to a cupboard in the corner of the room. He returns and places a small, 8 inch by 12 inch by 4 inch, wooden box on the desk. "This is the package I would like delivered to Allimon. Please take it to the Iron Crown Forge, located in the merchant quarter. The proprietor is a dwarf named Barak Silverbeard and he is expecting this, though I daresay not this quickly." The last is said with an honest grin on Doc's face.

"Then we all shall sign it."

"Good doing business with you." Valan jots down a quick Valan E. Ceth

Returning the honest grin "Just out of curiosity, What are the contents of the box"

Kerrz looks over the receipt and jots down a symbol that might be a name, or just a scribble. Nodding at the halfling he returns to the stables and awaits the start of the journey.

"When all is said and done, it will be whoever wishes to be the owner, will be the owner. If more than one person wishes to be the owner than we shall work it out then, as I'm sure we gentlemen would be able to work out any problems quickly and efficently. The eventual owner would reimburse the paying partners out of their share"

"Very well, I simply prefer to work these things out in advance so there are no bad feelings. I don't wish to be the owner, so you can leave me off the paperwork, Doc."

Doc takes the proffered hand and gives it a hearty shake. "Sorry, but the contents must remain private. It is certainly a pleasure to do business with honest people. Good luck on your journey." Doc shows you to back out to the barn where Garret has BusterJack all ready for you, the reins already in Kerrz' hands.

ooc: Those of you that bought additional supplies such as ammo and rations, please don't forget to update your characters to reflect it.

ooc: I had updated re: the rations previously, I've now also updated re: the money for Buster Jack.

Placing his newly aquired rations in Buster Jack's saddle bags, Tor offers his assistance in packing so that everyone can reach a light load. Only one character wears medium armor (Valan, right?) so that character should ride.

"Let's go then, my new companions. It would be a shame to wait any longer while those bandits suffer badly from lack of an apropriate thumping."

"That's the spirit, though before we hit the gate I'll need to stop off and buy my supplies"

Valan will buy a weeks worth of rations and a water skin if he doesn't already own one, and thanks, He will shuck the armor if cercumstances call for it, or if he starts to feel bad about being the only one on a horse
