R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

"Yes, there was that one at the very beginning, and then one right before we entered the central chamber. We should definitely check those out." Fimble looks up from thought. "Oh, er, I was thinking about the east branch of sewers. We left some places unsearched."

"So that locked off chamber, the verticle pipe is how the rats got into the Council House and attacked the prisoners. I wonder if they managed any other mischief that way? If they have been spying that way, I wonder how much information a rat could convey?

I think we need to check the tunnels under Drezel's shop. Do you think you can get us there, Fimble?"

Fimble feels he could find the general area of Drezel's shop, given some time.

ooc: So, are you abandoning the "right hand rule" to head toward the area of Drezel's shop?

If Fimble thinks that Drezel's shop lies beyond the locked gates through the south tunnel, then he'll suggest that the gang return to the eastern branch and check the tunnels they passed before. But if Gideon and Tor also want to head straight to Drezel's (through locked gate or no), he'll bow to the group consensus.

ooc: I think I need to make it a little clearer. Fimble thinks he may be able to negotiate to Drezel's while bypassing the protected section under the Council House. There was a tunnel off the western branch that headed south. He thinks he can use that to get to Drezel's. Possibly.

[sblock=OOC: ]I thought we explored the entirety of the western section just now. Is Fimble thinking of a smaller tunnel that they'd have to squeeze into, or do you mean the eastern section, that we fought the spiders in on the first day? Or am I confused on my cardinal directions?

Here's how I have the sewers mapped out in my head:

Code:
    ?
    | S
    | |---<
 E--O-| |
    | ? ?
    G

< = Sewer entrance the party used
S = Spider battle
O = large central chamber
G = locked gates
E = Explored area
? = Unexplored area
[/sblock]

ooc: I'll draw up a simple map of the sewers as you've explored them so far and post it tonight so you have a clearer idea of the situation. I apologize for the confusion.

ooc: As promised, here's a rough map.
