R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

ooc: Nope, Rae's doing fine. Fimble seems to have a good sense of direction, and Tor's sufficiently frustrated with the Sewer maze to be happy to follow a companion who seems to have some idea of what to do next.

OOC: Sorry about that, my access is spotty at best at the moment. Gideon is quite happy to be following Fimble, trusting his judgement.

Fimble takes the lead down the one passage heading towards Drezel's shop. After a half hour of searching the narrow tunnels, and one wrong turn, Fimble notices something peculiar. A tunnel branches off, angled slightly upward. The new tunnel is slightly different than the rest of the sewer system, it appears to be of different, and newer, construction. It also appears, if Fimble's judgement is to be trusted, in the general area where the gnome expected to find Drezel's shop.

Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

My spider sense is tingling!

Fimble pauses at the entrance of one tunnel. He examines it closely and feels its walls, tapping softly. "Look at this. It's newer than everything else down here. And cleaner, too. If my intuition serves me, this leads right into Drezel's shop. Shall we pay our friend a visit?" He gestures for Tor to take the lead again.

Tor prepares to take the lead. He feels that there must be a trap here, though he hasn't the skills to search for one properly. He'll look anyway, with great care.

ooc: Tor will take 20, which will be enough to guarantee finding any traps he's even theoretically capable of finding.

While anyone can use Search to find a trap whose DC is 20 or lower, only a rogue can use Search to locate traps with higher DCs

Tor takes his time to examine the tunnel entrance carefully for any traps and fails to find anything of concern. The tunnel itself appears to be a bit of a tight fit for the burly human. It's too small to stand in, Tor figures he'll have to crawl.

"Perhaps our lead person should be someone who can stand up in this space?"

Tor will crawl forward, either behind a small character or (if no one small agrees to take the lead) as the party's point man.

A small character? Tor, Metrius, Gideon, and Babette are all humans, so that leaves... =D

Fimble puffs his chest out and bravely says, "Step aside, Tor. I can handle this one." Crossbow loaded and in hand, he also checks for traps (taking 20).
