Fimble curses quietly as Tor fails to gain entry through the door. "Dead end then?" he whispers disappointedly.

 

[Patlin]

"Oh, heck no. It'll take more work, though, and some caution. Back up a bit, in case stuff comes crashing down when I obliterate this trap door. i don't want to be directly under it."

Tor will move back and begin the process of smashing the door into kindling withhis chain.

Of course! Full power attack against stationary inanimate objects is a must!

Tor grips his chain in both hands and, after making sure his companions are clear, swings it upward at the trapdoor with everything he has. The chain strikes the door squarely in the middle and the fighter finds himself in a shower of wooden shards. Tor takes a moment to admire his handiwork. The trapdoor is virtually destroyed with a large hole in the middle of it. Above the trapdoor, however, Tor sees another wooden barrier. It appears to be a large crate.

Tor will examine the underside of the crate. Does it seem watertight? He'd rather not be bathed in acid or anything...

He'll step out from under the crate, and bash a hole in the bottom of it.

 

[Dungannon]

ooc: the crate appears normal, ie: not watertight.

Tor adjusts his stance as best he can in the tight quarters and lashes out with his chain at the crate above his head. The weapon fouls on the remains of the trapdoor, however, and fail to do so much as gouge the wood.

Tor curses quietly as he readies for another blow. This one strikes true with a resounding CRACK. One more ought to do it, he thinks to himself as he surveys the damage to the crate. Steadying himself once more, Tor swings as hard as he can. The resulting crash results in a shower of splinters and straw, followed closely by several large, heavy objects.
