At Gideon's warning, Metrius eyes the group through the pouring rain, still rushing to the next scene but wary of the men in the doorway.

By now, everyone has noticed the group of figures a couple of blocks down the street. One of them goes inside the building they're in front of. The remaining two stay where they are, making no effort to disguise the fact they are watching your party.

Babette will see if she can tell what building it is these men are standing in front of (business, residence, etc) as well as anything unique about it( "Bob's House of Wax", "Smokestick City", etc.)

Curious about why they're being watched, Metrius calls on Ulura's blessing and mutters a Charm Person spell at one of them (Will save DC 13) and heads towards them. "Terrible weather. What brings the two of you out here watching us, rather than somewhere warm and dry?

Babette notices nothing unique about the building other than the words "Hammerstein Building" etched in the stone above the entryway. It's a three-story stone building.

One of the men looks at his partner then takes a step forward. "Well, we were watchin' ya wonderin' what kinda fools would be walking the streets in a thunderstorm."

Tor fondles his chain and blithely follows Metrius' lead.

Metrius looks at the two men in front of him, "It' not great weather for it, is it. We're looking for somewhere to take shelter, to be honest. Say, what is this building?" he says, gesturing to the Hammerstein Building, "Somewhere with shelter and a warm fire I hope..."

 

[Dungannon]

The man continues talking, "Nothin' in here but offices. They're all closed for the day, now. There's a tavern a block north o' here, The Silver Flagon. Sure ta be a warm fire there, and decent food too."

Metrius nods to the man, "Thank you, kind sir. Perhaps we shall seek shelter in The Silver Flagon.

OOC: Sense Motive=7 to see if they're hiding anything about the reasons they're watching us.

As the rain runs down his face, thoughts of violence against the man drift through Gideon's mind, and his hands reflexively tighten into fists. His scowl deepens, but he relaxes his hands and remains quiet while Metrius questions the man.
