I played a Hexblade, Variant Human to 19th level. Most rounds I only did melee attacks if I had advantage and instead of the extra attack from Thirsting Blade, used Greenflame Blade and Eldritch Smite if I had a slot to use. At the point where I got Bracers of Illusion, I got two attacks with my Pact Weapon anyway. If I didn't have advantage, the Warlock spells were more valuable. Invisibility got a lot of use throughout. Whatever you roll, Max Charisma. In our game we use the standard array.
