What about those purple revenants? The Deva? They've got this terribly contrived background as well (karma-dependant resurrection as a Rakshasa is just way to comical for my tastes). Their place in a society is pretty vague, too, making the poor roleplaying fodder.

The first edition of the game that it is actually worth while to play humans and you want to kick them... how rude.

I thought humans were the strongest core race in 3e. A free feat was awesome!

My hatred for the remaining races is very weak. The most I can summon up is a hearty "meh" for some. Bugbears to the top of the list!

So it is an ongoing trend? I approve. I keep forgetting the things I am not familiar with in 3e since I basicallly skipped it. Racial level limits were intended to make up for humans being wussy previously but seemed to always get house ruled out of existance and only impacted rather high level play even so.

A free feat (plus free at-will -> this latter gets better as the game progresses), plus 1 on all defensese etc etc, humans are favored by the divine...or atleast me.
