Race-favoritism?

When I make my characters, I start with how I want them to look. Very rarely do I want a short hairy person as my character. Never do I want a short big nosed person.

HALFLINGS!

I love halflings, they're my favourite race, always were, are, and will always be!

and out of all my players 1 in 5 loves halflings too (I'm contagious :D)

M(X) means mastered by X. If this mention is not present, then the character has been played outside of the group.

You're free to look for bias here. I know I am biased toward gnomes, and the girl is biased toward elvenkin (preferably with classes that I find odd for an elf, like psion or paladin  ).

Both campaigns mastered by the last player in my list are human-only.

My players generally only play humans (with the rare exception), and have done so for many many years. No, it is not a problem, and I do nothing to make the races seem more attractive (at least, outside of a normal game). For example, when PCs go to regions populated by other races, I try to make those areas seem different and unique - more suited to the races who live there (fey tree-top dwellings of elves with unearthly music in the air, great under-the-mountain stone fortresses of dwarves with the constant sound of hammering and chanting, rustic hobbit-holes and gardens of halflings, etc).

In the many games I've played, the only race I see players generally avoid is gnomes. Many dwarves, elves, halflings and, of course, humans.

i have to admit that i'm very partial to the old half-elf, but my new PC is a halfling who are very cool (check out all the racial feature!!!)

but i've got an idea for a dwarfish monk... could be cool. i've never wanted to play a human particularly.. i mean i already am a human so why not do something different??

:)
