Racial Favored Weapons?

IIRC, there was a dragon magazine article with polearm focused warlod powers that seemed to suggest the were of tiefling orgin. They do seem to be the kind of people who would want all the bad stuff happening as far away from them as possible, thus polearm.
Indeed, those were for tiefling warlords with the multiclass feat for infernalocks (aka Infernal Captains).

I have a couple suggestions for the op here.

1- Look at the racial bonuses and feats to help suss out potentially favored weapons for a race. With Dragonborn, for example, they get bonuses to STR and CHA, which doesn't help much. However, they also get a LOT of benefits from a decent-to-high CON score, which means that Axes might be a good fit.

2- As a piece of general advice for dealing with your players constnat requests for info, check out the section in the DMG2 about collaborative storytelling. While it might be a bit awkward at first, it would take some of the pressure off you to come up with minute details while simultaneously engaging them more in the story and world building.

Actually, that second one helped me come up with Tiefling's roles in my setting, where they became subterranean. The first bit of advice though, I feel silly for not thinking of myself. Good call!
