Though this game was released late last year, I finally got it today.

I haven't had much time to play it yet, though I enjoyed the heck out of its predecessor. I can't wait until I have more time to play this one (most likely at the end of this week). :)

Anyone else here have this game? If so, what do you think of it? Also, don't forget to download the latest patch and official maps from the link.

I'd be interested in hearing what you think about it. I played and enjoyed the original, but never did get the sequel.

I had RRT2 and loved it. I've been eyeing RRT3 since it came out, too. I probably would have bought it sooner, but I don't really have time to play too many games. Let us know how it compares to RRT2, please.

I got it when it came out, but didn't like it, so sold it.

Graphically, it's fantastic. But they went to a whole different sort of cargo system, one that I didn't like.

Care to elaborate? I generally enjoyed the cargo system in RRT2, even if it is a bit arcane (okay, did my production go up, or did it just replenish?). There was definitely room for improvement, but I'd hate for them to take it too far off.

Cargos have other means of getting to their destination without you, so factories that rely on a particular input may still function, slowly. You have overlay maps to help you see where supply and demand is for particular cargoes which is very nice. You can set up freigt to hall generic goods/or express, or specific cargoes, so you have less trains that are specifically tuned.

It takes a bit of getting used to because it doesnt play the same as RT2, and a couple of the last 3 scenarios (japan africa, etc) have their elavation so high in the 3d terrain to make moving around difficult, but no impossible.

Overall it was ok, very nice graphics. I played through the scenarios uninstalled it, and put it away.
