Raise the bones!

Can a Monk/Wizard/Palemaster wear his 'bonemail' and keep his wisdom bonus to AC? The description says he wears it like a second skin and it provides a natural armor bonus.

It would probably come down to a DM call. If you want some good ammo for arguement, the bonemail grants a natural armor bonus, not an armor bonus. I'd probably allow it.

Technically, it is a suit of armor, but it provides a natural armor bonus and has no check penalty or arcane spell failure. Anybody have an idea?

I'd need a bit more information to be sure, but it sounds to me like it is not really armor for it has no armor bonus, armor check penalty or chance for arcane spell failure.

Here's what Tome & Blood says...
"Bonemail: The pale master has an instictive feel for bone and can craft necromantic armor composed of interlocking bones. His appreciation for all things dead allow him to wear the bonemail like a second skin - that is, natural armor, which does not interfere with arcane spellcasting. Only pale masters gain any benefit to Armor Class from wearing bonemail."

Game definition of armor is armor bonus, max dex, check penalty and spell failure chance. Since bonemail has none of these characteristics it is not armor for any game definition.
