Rami does it?

Do you also call the original Star Trek (with William Shatner, winner of two Golden Raspberry awards) a flop just because it had some cheesy production values some episodes with bad plots? Sorry, it too is a classic.
Now why would I make such a blasphemous sacrilegious statement as that?

FWIW, I don't see Raimi involving in Trek. His brother (the actor) might.

Point is, you're kinda giving Raimi a hard time for his TV show work, like it was as embarassingly bad as a Sid & Marty Kroft show. Xena & Herc were actually pretty groundbreaking in the arena of high-action TV shows, fantasy TV shows, and syndicated television in general. Of course, nobody really made much use of that broken ground after them, but that's not Sam's fault.

Battlestar Galactica is boring.

I deny this assertion 100%. I'm also going to ignore that you compared this show to... Xena: Warrior Princess :p

Seriously, BSG is quite dark yes. Certainly not for everyone. But to say that it is without bright or funny moments is untrue. It never delves into slapstick, as Hercules and Xena often did. But that does not mean it's without humor.

Xena at its worst was trite, but at its best it was groundbreaking and original. It kicked open the door for shows like Buffy, Bionic Woman, and, well...come to think of it, are there any action shows left anymore that feature a male who kicks ass?

BSG doesn't have extreme highs or lows. It's just kinda tepid in all things. When there's a climactic scene, I can almost guess right on cue when the slo-mo is about to start and the lugubrious music is about to swell. It ain't awful, but it sure is overrated.

I still want Farscape back.
