Range Weapon Special Abilities & Multi-attack

Hey Everyone,

Got a question about making multiple attacks using a range weapons with special abilities... 3.5 Edition.

Take for instant I get two attacks per round with a +1, Frost (+1d6 cold damage) longbow. I know that the +1 enhancement bonus will affect each arrow fired that round, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that the Frost ability only affects the first projectile fired that round. Is this true or does the Frost ability affect all arrows fired from the longbow that round?

Thanks!

The Frost property says that:
"
Frost

Upon command, a frost weapon is sheathed in icy cold. The cold does not harm the wielder. The effect remains until another command is given. A frost weapon deals an extra 1d6 points of cold damage on a successful hit. Bows, crossbows, and slings so crafted bestow the cold energy upon their ammunition.
Moderate evocation; CL 8th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, chill metal or ice storm; Price +1 bonus."

I cannot find an indication that limits the ability. If one does exist, it would make the already weak enchantment worthless.

Dandu- You really find that bonus damage to be worthless??

I'll agree with everything else he said, though.

Most weapon enchantments are not worth their money, unfortunately. Some, like Holy, Magebane, Collision, Spell Storing, maybe Wounding, Valorous, Bane (in the right campaign), Brilliant Energy (if you can turn it off at will), are quite good, but your money is often invested better in other stuff.

Don't forget Vampiric. Heal you with every hit to them? Useful.

For the cost, +1d6 to only one attack in an attack sequence is basically worthless.

But applying to each attack?

I always thought one of the best ways to improve a weapon in 3e was to layer flaming, frost, shock, etc. on it. BAM! 1d8+4 plus a ton of d6s to the FACE!
