Ranged Touch spells into Melee

Wow. Slap me twice and call me a bard, that got misinterpreted pretty bad.

I forgot most wizards aren't proficient with bows. I'm playing a custom class in my DM's world (damn good world too) and I'm human, but from a culture that rarely uses the iron it trades for on crossbows. My weapons are otherwise wizardly, but I've got bow proficiency, and rapid shot is useful to me.

I guess elven wizards in a staple campaign could take rapid shot and use it well. Still, Precise Shot is a better choice if you expect to use rays often.

I mean a spell that allows you to use X arrows, and use them as an attack, not a standard action. So you cast the spell and get say 1 arow / caster level and for the spell's duration you can use them based on BAB and ranged feats.

Oh, and Storminator, I have a meta-magic feat that makes a enegy arrow spell produce a real arrow that can be fired from a bow or cross-bow. We play every other Saturday at 1. =D
