Also (although I am not sure where Plane Sailing's hypothetical PC is with his weps) unless you have 'quick draw' you have to drop what you have in your hands before you draw

So you drop the arrow and attack with your off hand. I don't recall reading anything about penalties for off hand attacks, as long as you're only making one attack.

*EDIT* Never mind. I just read it; must be wielding two melee weapons or a ranged weapon.

if your enemy is a fighter, it may be smarter to smack him with your fist and run, instead of trying to shift...

Hey, you are right. I didn't see that. When disengaging from a fighter, Hit and Run actually works (opposed to Nimble Strike).

Yay a theoretical situation in which I can use my Hit and Run... now I just need to find that fighter to battle, and make sure he closes with me, and make sure no other enemy is adjacent to me, THEN i can use the power, wohoo.

also you can´t shift while in difficult terrain... only if you are an elf, and then you don´t need a third at will...

there are many monsters which make their surrounding terrain difficult if it isn´t already...

Not really - you'll never use that over Twin Strike unless you're a rogue, and melee rangers are still pretty screwed.
