Rank 6 Wizard Spell advice.

Minor Illusions can be used in a few clever ways.

For example, you can set an ambush by placing an illusion of a closed door over an open doorway (there will be no save to disbelieve until someone interacts with the illusion... simply looking at it is not interaction!).

You however, see the illusion only as a translucent outline, therefore you can see through, but are hidden from view behind it.

I guess you can figure out the rest. :)

Disintegrate is the single 6th level spell that stands out. It is a decent offensive spell, and the fact that it works against undead (as opposed to death spells) makes it all the more versatile. However, it's far more than just that: its utility purposes are legion, such as getting through trapped and locked doors, destroying walls for a surprise attack or taking out those pesky Walls of Force. In a pure hack-and-slash campaign, Flesh to Stone is also a good bet, since it's the first single-target save-or-die that doesn't require a touch attack of some form. Contingency is a potential life-saver, and well worth a look. Antimagic Shell can be useful, particularly if you're facing enemy casters: a good combination is for you to advance in the AMS and then the fighters to grapple them.
