Ranks at first level?

I´m starting up a Pathfinder game and I´m generating a human cleric, and I can´t find anything in the core rule book or online sources how many ranks a cleric with Int 10 starts with. I´m guessing that 2 + Int mod *4 from 3. is gone, but I can´t figure it out how it works in Pathfinder.

Please help a rusty player!

The class gives you 2. Being human gives you 1 more. Your intelligence of 10 gives you none (no bonus). That's 3. You don't multiply by 4 at all anymore. But, if you invest a skill rank in a class skill, you get a +3 bonus to your skill check.

And if cleric is your preferred class, you can pick either +1 skill point or +1 hit point each time you take a level. So you could have 4 skill ranks at 1st level instead of 3.

They get 2+int (human gets +1 more then favored class could have an additional +1)

The way it works in pathfinder is when you put the first rank in a skill that is on their class list, they get a +3 for it being a class skill and there are no 1/2 ranks anymore for non class skills

So for a cleric with 10 int, if they put a point into KN religion, they have a +4 total to it, where as if they put it into KN local, they would only have +1

It threw me through a loop first time I did it too so dont worry

Just to be clear; at first level I can choose to add one hit point and go to 11 hp (instead of 10) if I´ve a Con score of 14, or add a new skill rank?
If that´s correct, isn´t that pretty powerful, that extra HP (unless you´re playing a skill based character)?

Correct, assuming cleric is your favored class then you can choose to either add one more hit point *or* one skill point.

If your GM is allowing the Advanced Player's Guide then you could also choose 'Add +1 on caster level checks made to overcome the spell resistance of outsiders.' If you choose this then that would be in place of the +1 to hp or skill points.

I wouldn't consider it overly powerful.

I really don't think an extra 20hp (if you stay single classed) by the end of your adventuring career is overpowered.

Geez, at that level you do more damage dropping your morning deuce.
